The Niftymancer – Video Game Project Teaser

So I’ve been working on character concept/design for a new video game (destined for iOS and web) titled “The Niftymancer” along side some talented game developers and artists. Its a fun, gothic, lane defense RPG where you play a necromancer who is constantly harassed by woodland creatures. You summon ghosts and zombies to protect yourself and your lab from the meddling pixies and forest creatures.

More info to come soon as we will be launching a Kickstarter campaign in the next week or so. I’ll be mixing some concept sketches in with the Sketch-of-the-Day so stay tuned for more of that as well…

Lindsey Krassen, Beth Hammer and I sketching ideas last night. (Off camera Roberto Sanchez was also doodling, Morgan LaVigne was jamming on the guitar and Thomas Sitch was inspiring us with his vision and his Inigo Montoya t-shirt).

Art for plush toy packaging #1

Today’s sketch is actually packaging art I am working on for a line of plushies designed by yours truly in conjunction with A Crowded Coop. There will be a small assortment of stuffed imps, monsters and robots debuting at Toy Fair in New York this February, and available to the masses later this year. (I don’t have more info than that so I’ll let everyone know as soon as I learn release dates).

Here’s the dummied backer art for “Dominic” the mischief imp:
