“Cats Playing Blackjack” is a feline tribute to the “Dogs Playing Poker” series painted by Coolidge starting in 1894 (he painted additional pieces in the series into the early 1900’s). This painting was actually a commission for a “super-fan from Seattle” and concept credit for the piece goes to them as well – Thanks (you know who you are)!
