This sketch is a tribute to two of my favorite things, Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Tea Party and Studio Ghibli /Hayao Miyazaki’s (My Neighbor Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Ponyo, Kiki’s Delivery Service and Princess Mononoke)
The painting for this sketch is currently in the works! In fact, I spend last weekend in Issaquah Salmon Days working on it so keep your eyes peeled for progress pictures!
I really enjoyed seeing you work in person! The YouTube videos are cool too of course. 😉 This painting looks AMAZING so far. I came to purchase a different print of yours and promptly changed my mind to buy this print instead when it comes out. I can’t wait to see the finished product. I hope you do the smaller Gilcee edition on this one so it’ll fit on my walls 😀
I saw this at Salmon Days yesterday & it looks absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to buy a print of it soon. At the moment I only have ‘A Spirited Rumpus’ & ‘Red Riding Hood’. Keep up the great work!
