Sketch-A-Day #1, Krampus

Sketch-A-Day #1, Krampus

Happy December, all. I've decided to start a not-quite-daily sketch again (like 3-5 a week). I know it's not really a sketch - it's a drawing or maybe a painting? Regardless, it's been a number of years since I've done something like this, and I felt like it was time. A while back ago I started setting aside a small slice of time in the early mornings to spend with my sketchbook, a 6" x 8" pad of media media paper, a size 10 Micron Pen (that's bigger than I usually use), and some watercolors. It's been a lot of fun. Remember when you were a kid sitting at a counter with whatever writing implement was available, drawing or coloring just because it was an enjoyable activity? Yeah, it feels like that and I love it. Anyway, I'll try to post regularly and keep it going as long as I feel like, on my website ( https://impsandmonsters.com/blogs/sketch-a-day ), as well as via social media ( https://www.instagram.com/impsandmonsters/ ). I have a bit of a backlog of drawings to share, (some of you who visited my studio during the November Open Studio saw some of them), and those will help me not feel overly pressured or anxious as can easily happen with something like this.

So here's Drawing #1, starting off strong with a disgruntled Krampus...
